How You Can Help

Your gift, in any amount, can help a nonprofit like the Adopt A Class provide students with opportunities to partner with mentors or participate in educational field trips.

About Adopt A Class

Adopt A Class is a group mentoring program that connects businesses and civic groups with students in high poverty schools. We pair mentor teams from each organization to individual classrooms and enable these teams to engage with students through monthly visits, pen pal letters and an annual field trip. Through this model, we expose students to a breadth of organizations, experiences and careers to expand their horizons and enable them to dream big things for their future careers.

Horizon Community Funds has enabled Adopt A Class to expand within the schools they serve in Northern Kentucky. With mentor teams from Kroger, Dinsmore, Cincinnati Bell, PEP Promotions, Frisch’s and Duke Energy (to name a few), students gain exposure to a breadth of career paths and opportunities and connect to caring adult mentors.
