Garren Colvin Joins Horizon Community Funds Council of Trustees

Garren Colvin has been appointed to the board that governs Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky, the new community foundation that serves Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties in Northern Kentucky.

Colvin has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Elizabeth Healthcare since June 2015, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Under Colvin’s guidance, St. Elizabeth Healthcare has shown a consistent financial increase and improvement each year, reaching new heights in 2009 when Standard & Poor’s and Fitch upgraded St. Elizabeth Healthcare’s bond ratings to AA- (up from A+).

“Garren Colvin is one of the strongest leaders in our Northern Kentucky community, and will be a huge force in getting the people to join with us in advancing the community, and in accelerating the growth of the funds to that end,” noted Bill Butler, Chairman of the Council of Trustees.

Colvin serves on the boards of the Kentucky Health Collaborative, Thomas More College, Tri-State Healthcare Laundry, St. Elizabeth Board of American Nursing Care - Home Care, American Heart Association Cincinnati chapter, American Red Cross, United Way of Greater Cincinnati, Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and Andy Dalton Foundation. He also serves on various committees at Notre Dame Academy.

“I am incredibly honored and humbled to be joining the Horizon Community Funds Council of Trustees,” Colvin said. “St. Elizabeth Healthcare shares the same passion and commitment to working collaboratively with other Northern Kentucky leaders to improve the health and vibrancy of our community.”
