Community members invited to help select a focus area for a mini grant competition this fall
Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky is on a mission to bring people together and build a stronger community. Starting May 11, Horizon Community Funds wants local residents to get involved and help identify a focus area they believe needs immediate attention. Through Horizon Community Funds’ “Investing in Northern Kentucky” Facebook feedback campaign, community members have the opportunity to vote and share their thoughts. Feedback from the campaign will help the community foundation select an area of focus for a mini grant competition later this year.
“We launched the Community Impact Fund earlier this year to help support Northern Kentucky’s most critical needs,” said Nancy Grayson, President of Horizon Community Funds. “This is an opportunity for the entire community to get involved and help us make a difference.”
From May 11 through May 25, Facebook users can visit Horizon Community Funds’ Facebook page and fill out a quick survey. They will vote for one of five focus areas they believe are the most important for the community right now, including: breaking the cycle of poverty, supporting the arts, sparking development and innovation, enhancing education, and improving the health and wellness of the community. Votes and feedback will guide Horizon in the selection of a focus area for a mini grant competition this fall.
“We look forward to hearing from you and know that together we can make a lasting impact on the future of our community,” added Grayson.
