Kentucky’s Edge Bourbon Conference & Festival Announces Partnership

Event to benefit future funding for Northern Kentucky nonprofits

Northern Kentucky will showcase its history and rising influence as a bourbon region with the launch of the inaugural Kentucky’s Edge Conference & Festival. In keeping with this exciting momentum the event founders and key stakeholders/investors have committed to a long-term philanthropic partnership with Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky.

Beginning this year, ten percent of Kentucky’s Edge profits will be directly allocated to Horizon Community Funds’ Community Impact Fund. This investment catalyzes support of current, and future Northern Kentucky community needs.

“Our vision is to create a preeminent regional, national, and global event. Just as bourbon, and all things Kentucky serve as our creative inspiration, we are also inspired to give back, to ensure Kentucky’s Edge fuels prosperity economically, and socially,” said co-founders Kevin Canafax and Bill Donabedian.

The Kentucky’s Edge Bourbon Conference & Festival will take place Oct. 4-5 at venues throughout Covington and Newport and will include a free music festival on the river, a Kentucky artisan market in MainStrasse Village, and a bourbon conference at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. There will also be bourbon pairings, tastings and musical performances at restaurants and bars across the two cities.

“The Community Impact Fund is truly ‘the people’s fund’, and allows us to come together for the common good,” said Horizon Community Funds President Nancy Grayson. “Kentucky’s Edge is also a chance to celebrate our commonwealth’s treasured staple, Kentucky bourbon, in Northern Kentucky.”
