Horizon Community Funds Adds to Council of Trustees

The Council of Trustees that governs Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky recently voted to add Roger Peterman to serve on the board, effective immediately.

Peterman is managing partner of the Covington office of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, and has provided legal services related to the financing of major projects throughout Kentucky, including the University of Kentucky Commonwealth Stadium, the Kentucky Speedway, and the recently completed toll bridges linking Louisville with southern Indiana. He has also been involved in legislative changes relating to government finance, including major legislation implementing a 1996 Kentucky constitutional amendment affecting local governments.

“Roger Peterman has a long history of community commitment and activeness,” says Horizon Community Funds Council of Trustees Chair, Bill Butler. “We are extremely pleased to add him to the Council.  He will be a strong contributor to the success and growth of the funds.”

Peterman has a long history in local nonprofit leadership, formerly serving on the boards of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, the Tri-County Economic Development Corporation, Healthpoint Family Care, and United Way campaigns. Currently, he serves on the Fort Thomas City Council, Southbank Partners board, St. Elizabeth Hospital board of trustees, Northern Kentucky Port Authority board, and the Covington Business Council board of directors.

The addition of Peterman comes as Horizon Community Funds continues to build its team, having recently added Director of Accounting and Administration Trey Bramble, and Director of Marketing and Communications Tess Brown. Both are Northern Kentucky natives and bring years of experience in their respective fields.

“I am thrilled to have Tess Brown and Trey Bramble join our team at Horizon Community Funds,” says Nancy Grayson, President of Horizon Community Funds.  “Their talent, energy, and commitment to Northern Kentucky are invaluable assets to our organization as we work together to achieve our mission.”
